Now on to our readings. And here we are again, public reading of scripture.

PRS, to be short, the lost art within the church, listening to God's Word. You know, they used to do

that before the printing press. The Gutenberg printing press is what changed the world.

But until then, people would go to church and listen to the Word of God.

And I don't know if you knew this or not, but for centuries,

they would read and they would commit themselves to memory.

Oral law in the ancient Jewish method, still being used

in different religions around the world. In the first century, when the epistles specifically

were distributed among the known regions, they would be read in their entirety from the front.
