that led her to become one of the most recognizable spiritual teachers in America by the early 1990s, and what led her to enter politics first as a

candidate for Congress in 2014 and now in her run for the Democratic

presidential nomination. I also had the chance to ask Mary Ann for her views about the absence of the human spirit

in conversations about public policy, the urgent need to confront concentrations of private power,

especially in the areas of our economy, commonly associated

with Big Tech, and how someone like her who preaches about love and compassion would lead

a militarized society like ours during such a dangerous time where the international

system seems to be coming apart and wars of opportunity and conquest are breaking out everywhere.
