political battle. Federal funding for public media is once again on the chopping block.

So now all those accused of scummally fact-checking are scrambling to adjust.

After all, Mr. Trump has already vowed to seek retribution for media offenses

by, say, suing CBS for a billion dollars because of, quote, biased editing of a Kamala Harris' 60 Minutes interview,

suspending ABC's broadcast license because of fact-checked him during a debate,

and suing the Des Moines Register for printing a poll suggesting Harris would win,

a poll that turned out to be, wait for it.

Wrong.
