You know, three days ago I had a plan.

I had a plan for preaching to the choir and what I was going to talk about.

And now it's completely lost on me because I can't remember.

On Thursday at 7.33 p.m., the idea I had for preaching the choir was derailed when a friend texted

me with a question.

He said

when you were in the dark place

and wanted

all to end

what was the one thing that kept

you going?

What a powerful question.

I actually pulled my vehicle over, stopped to answer this question.

I said, nothing.

At my lowest, I didn't want to live because I felt like I lost everything.

And honestly, that I've had a full and complete life.

Many lies.

But then I realized, as long as I am breathing, I'm able, even on my deathbed, to have an impact on my children.

There's a lot to be said, and maybe not today or even this year or next.

If I'm gone, there's no chance for me to tell my kids the important things I must say.

My life's not fulfilled until I've imparted my last words to my children.

So they keep me going. They keep me in the fight.
