from Breckbridge, Colorado. Today on the show, we have Dick Simon, CEO, co-founder at

Sensorium Therapeutics. So first off, this is not a company doing psychedelic work explicitly.

It's kind of in a different vein, but I like it because it's doing kind of like a survey

of all known psychoactives and seeing what we can find in there.

We did have some interesting conversation

about the Nagoya protocol and, you know, doing the best we can. And, you know, technological

advancements that kind of made it possible. So, you know, there's so many active molecules that we

have yet to even understand. Like, the idea that I love about, you know, the Amazon rainforest is

how many plants we don't even know exist yet that could theoretically have life saving and

therapeutic value for people, you know, even with no use of human history. But this is an attempt

at a, you know, creating a baseline where we can go forward and figuring out what people have used and what's in there as an active molecule.

So I really appreciated recording with Dick, you know, hardcore kind of neuroscience work is going to have to happen there.

You know, I think long-time listeners of the show know that, you know,

I'm a little critical of it sometimes, but I also understand it's one of the better things we have. So we've got to understand neuroscience. It's just, you know, not the be all end all in my world. It's okay if it isn't yours. But, yeah, that's why, you know, we started with Stan Groff and the transpersonal psychology stuff.

perspectives so um really a pleasure chatting with dick and i hope i can do it again i got to meet

dick in person a few months back and had a really nice couple chats and

I was really impressed with how he handled himself on stage in front of a bunch of people.
