Hello, everybody. Welcome back to Segadalex today. This is Joe Moore coming at you from

Breckenridge, Colorado. Today on the show, we have Rebecca Croneman, LCSW, a really interesting character

out of New York and here today to talk about some fun stuff related to psychedelics and parenting.

Now, Rebecca is the founder of Plant Parenthood, obviously LCSW, so social worker, and has a lot of

really interesting perspectives and has done some really cool work on this parenting and

psychedelics concept. I think I remember years ago at Horizons in New York hearing about

peyote being used in the Huichol culture in mexico during pregnancy actually feeding peyote

to babies and babies eating peyote as they grow up even and um no issues were found with this so

i had to really do some soul searching what what is that and how do how do I relate to how Americans do child care now

and rearing? And thankfully, there are people out there like, I think the podcast is called

Psychedelic Parenting and now Rebecca taking over with plant parenthood. It's really awesome.

I feel for people who, you know, maybe had a religious

practice or this is just how they, you know, recharged every few months. And, you know, now you're

pregnant and you're stuck or you had a kid and you're breastfeeding and what do you do? And there's

not enough data to really, for doctors to really comment, right? So people have to make their own decisions. Largely, it's,

you know, be safe and make the right call when you can. But is there, is there any room for

psychedelic consumption while pregnant or breastfeeding? These are the questions that got me

to reach out to Rebecca for this one. Rebecca's done some writing for us.
