Hello, everybody, welcome back to Psychialyx today with your host, Kyle Buller and Joe Moore.

Today on the show, we are joined by Mark Habistraw.

Mark is a friend of ours that we met at a retreat center a number of years ago and just kind of

0:25.9

stayed in touch. He kept reaching out to us and we kind of kept the relationship alive. I think

0:30.4

when we met him, he just co-founded a mushroom farm and was growing edible mushrooms for

0:36.5

leaf farmers markets and restaurants in

0:39.4

Alabama. And since then, he's really stepped into the psilocybin world by helping to co-facilitate

0:46.4

retreats around the world in Jamaica, in Mexico, and in Amsterdam. And he's attended a lot of

0:53.4

these retreat centers that have really

0:55.1

emerged within the past few years. So he has some pretty interesting insights on just how people

1:00.7

are operating and what to really look out for. And just, I guess, has his pulse on, you know,

1:07.9

the emerging market, I guess you would say, in psilocybin retreat centers,

1:12.3

since he's worked or volunteered at a number of them. And so we thought it would be really

1:17.3

interesting to bring him on, to share his experience with you. And hopefully, if you are

1:23.3

planning on attending any of these retreats, to really kind of know what to look for, how to stay

1:28.7

safe and to get the most out of your experience there. So really excited to have Mark on finally.

1:36.8

I know Joe did an interview with him for our clinicians class, exploring what to look for in

1:42.1

retreat centers and kind of exploring his own process with it.

1:46.7

So I think you're really going to like this episode. It looks very insightful as I was asking

1:51.5

deeper questions. And that's been the one thing that's really stuck out in our friendship

1:56.3

over the years, just seeing him kind of asking the questions, digging deeper, and really kind of

2:01.8

pushing his personal and professional development. So yeah, really fun to catch up with Mark on a podcast
