Today on the show, I'm very pleased to have on Dr. Harvey Schwartz and Veronica Gold from the Polaris Insight Center. So the Plarice

Insight Center is dedicated to the ethical and compassionate clinical use of ketamine-assisted

and psychedelic-assisted psychotherapy. And the team over there shares a deep interest and broad

range of experience working with the psychotherapeutic potential of non-ordinary states of consciousness,

and they're also committed to the integration of alternative and traditional methods of

psychotherapy. Their founding members are all MAPS-trained clinicians who participate in both

phase two and phase three clinical trials of the MDMA-assisted psychotherapy for PTSD.

And they also provide training programs for psychotherapists and within the ketamine realm.

So a little bit about our guests here today.

I'll start off with Dr. Harvey Schwartz. Dr. Schwartz has worked as a licensed

clinical psychologist and private practice in San Francisco since 1985 and is the co-founder

of the Polaris Insight Center. He has received his PhD in Clinical Psychology from

Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia in 1982.

He has specialized in treating complex PTSD, severe dissociative disorder,

survivors of organized abuse experiences, and individuals working on psychospiritual development.

Harvey has provided consultation and supervision for therapists at various levels of

professional development over the three decades and currently offers psychedelic integration

therapy as well as consultation for clinicians working in the psychedelic-assisted therapy field.

And his approach blends relational psychoanalytic and archetypal transpersonal and existential therapy traditions.

And again, he went under the training for MAPS and then also ketamine training and serves as a trainer in two ketamine training center trainings and is currently served as a sub-investigator and co-therapist

for the MAPS MDMA assisted psychotherapy phase two and phase three trials.
