Well, welcome back to part two of why are men obsessed with the Roman Empire. In fact, we corrected this trend. I want us to take personal responsibility and all of the credit really for perfecting this trend and the way it should have been, which is to say men are obsessed with Rome, not just the Roman Empire. And we proved this.

And the way we proved it was we dedicated a whole episode to this idea of why are men obsessed with the Roman Empire and took an entire episode of two and a half hours and only got to the, only got through the Republic.

And so that's the point where we said, all right, look, we're going to have to stop right now.

And we're going to have to have a second episode where we talk about the Roman Empire,

specifically the fall of the Roman Empire.

What we're going to do today is actually draw parallels.

So the first parallels we made were toward the fall of the Roman Republic and the current

status of the American Republic.

Today what we're going to look at is all the various things that happened during the course

of the Roman Empire, specifically the Western Roman Empire, for those of you who are going to look at me and the various things that happened during the course of the Roman Empire,

specifically the Western Roman Empire, for those of you who are going to look at me and be like,

oh, so you plan to go all the way to the, plan to go all the way into the 1500s, huh Nick?

No, no, we're going to stop with the fall of the Western Roman Empire.

I apologize to everyone out there that loves Byzantium, but maybe we'll do that as a third episode some other time.

So today, what we're going to do is we're going to talk about the status of the United States

right now, what it looks like for us economically, socially, culturally, internationally,

militarily. And we're also going to take a look at the Roman Empire to once again explain to

anyone out there confused on why men are so obsessed with the Roman Empire to once again explain to anyone out there confused on why
