Several other insiders were brought on as consultants, including at least one person in Jerry

Bus's professional inner circle, famed Hoops Whisperer, I didn't Ravid, who once trained

Kobe Bryant and Stefan Curry.

Ravid not only coached the actors on the court, but also watched multiple edits to make

sure the series basketball was up to par.

They also tapped former Laker Rick Fox, who spent time as a fly on the wall in the writer's

room, where he'd field questions about player pressures and dynamics.

Hecht, who'd met Fox in his partying days, had reached out.
