52-year-old Fred Jabblin and 44-year-old Piper Roundtree had finally found some sort of routine

after a rocky 18-year marriage ended in one of the most contentious divorces you could imagine.

Fred was awarded full custody of their three children and he was living in Virginia with them

while Piper would fly back and forth from her home in Texas to see the children for her visitation.

On the morning of Saturday, October 30th, 2004, Fred Jabblin's neighbor Bob McCartle heard three

clear gunshots. He called 911 and the police responded quickly. Bob told them what he had heard
