Hi, my name is Dr. Corey Negrow, and I am a clinical neuropsychologist, originally from Chicago, now living in Duxbury, Massachusetts.

And I'm excited and passionate about starting a podcast series, which I've called Psychology Unplugged.

So much like its musical counterpart, MTV Unplugged,

this is the acoustic version of what the field of psychology,

psychiatry, psychopharmacology, therapy, so on and so on is.

So the motivating factor for this is the human condition is this amazing thing.

And people are so multifaceted.

And being a diagnostician, it's a privilege, one, to be able to hear the stories of individuals.

Because we all have stories.

We all have lives.

And some of those individuals struggle and suffer with psychiatric conditions.

And I believe there's a lot of misinformation out there.

Where's the first place people go?

Where do we all go?

If it's on Amazon, we go somewhere else on amazon we go somewhere else and we type in

depression we type in personality disorders we type in psychosis we type in anxiety and usually a

first starting point but as we all know you know if's on the Internet, obviously it must be true.

Not necessarily the case.

So this program, at least this introductory session, is just kind of set the footing for what I hope to be educational and inspirational,

a motivating, inquisitive series of topics about psychiatric conditions,

psychopharmacology, psychotherapy, neuropsychology evaluations, psychological evaluations,

early warning signs, identification science, a place where we can
