My insane neighbors are demanding that I get rid of my dogs, all because they think they're disgusting

and that they're a nuisance to the neighborhood. But after exhausting every single avenue, from petitions

all the way to the city council, my neighbors decide to get up in my face and approach me on my

property, causing me to freak out on them in a way that they truly never expected. And I've honestly

that this event happened five years ago, but it's something that I regularly think about. My family,

which is me, my husband, and my two kids lived in a very new suburb in a private sort of neighborhood.

It was a closed neighborhood, meaning that there was one

way in and one way out. Behind us was a street of houses, and across the road from those houses,

was this very large and new park. It had all the play and sport equipment possible, including skate

ramps and a basketball court. For the first year and a half we were living there, it was so nice

and peaceful, as the houses behind us

were still under construction and no one was living there. Then one day, the neighbors moved in

and everything started to fall apart. I would describe these neighbors as a couple, a husband and

wife, who were newly retired and around my parents' age. And trust me, the list of things they did

is massive. For starters, they put in formal complaints with our town council because our dogs barked.

They went to the trouble of recording those things rather than coming around and chatting with us about it bothering them.

Both my neighbor and I were probably the only ones with large breed dogs with the purpose of being guard dogs because our husbands traveled a lot for work.

And the dogs made
