It's so fun to record with other psychiatrists.

I haven't had very many on the podcast, but whenever I do, it's always such a treat.

Well, earlier this year, a psychiatrist from Switzerland reached out to me, saying that she was a big fan back from the abyss,

and that she was doing some work that I might be interested in.

I wrote her back, we set up a video call, and I was quickly convinced

that I had to find a way to sit down in the same room with her to record an episode. That

psychiatrist was Julia King Olivier, and I got the wonderful news shortly thereafter that she was

traveling to Colorado to attend psychedelic science. Julia was one of the first psychiatrists in Switzerland

to begin working with LSD, Cilocybin, MDMA, and Ketamine through the government's

compassionate use program. Julia and her co-therapist Bianca King founded the Compassionate Care Center

in Geneva, and Julia has over three years of working legally with these substances.

Today she shares her clinical experiences and wisdom while also explaining the Swiss model, which clearly

has some lessons for other countries. One cool fact about Julia, she designed and teaches a course

called poetry, symbol, and story for psychedelic therapy in her role as a trainer

for fluence.

A couple of notes.

In this recording, Julia calls herself a pito psychiatrist.

In the U.S., we would call this a child psychiatrist.

Also, when she discussed the costs and dosages of psilocybin, she's referring to the pure chemical

psilocybin, not psilocybin mushrooms.
