Episode 808 for April 29th, 2022. Food Man by Lisa Tuttle. Hello! Welcome back to

Sudapod, the sound of horror. I'm your hostess evening, the most

contankeress of tentacles, an associate editor of Sudapod, M.M. Schill.

Tonight's author, Lisa Tuttle, began her career as a published writer in the early 1970s

and in 1973 won the John W. Campbell Award for best new science fiction writer,

now known as the Astounding Award. She's the author of several novels and more than 100

short stories. Her first short story collection, a nest of nightmares, was published in the UK

in 1986. For other collections include a spaceship built of stone,

memories of the body, tales of desire and transformation, ghosts and other lovers,

and objects and dreams. Tonight's offering is Food Man. It was originally published in Crank

and was nominated for an otherwise award, previously known as the Tip Tree Award.
