Hey everyone, welcome to Sudapod, the weekly horror podcast.

I'm Alistair, your host and this week's story originally appeared in Weirdtiles in March of 1930.

And yes, we are absolutely going to stop for a moment and blunt of lag on the fact that yes, women have been rising horror and genre fiction

throughout recorded history and know they don't get enough credit for it.

And I really liked this story and it annoyed me in a very fruitful way, which we will discuss later on.

So much so that I will definitely be seeking out more stuff by her.

Amelia Reynolds Long was an American detective fiction writer, novelist, and a pioneer woman writer for the early science fiction magazines of the 1930s.

A resident of Harrisburg, a Pennsylvania, she was the author of a number of SF stories.

And her Weirdtiles story, The Thought Monster, was made into the 1958 British film Fiend Without a Face.
