Hey everyone. Welcome to Sudopod, the weekly horror podcast. I'm

Alistair, your host, and this week's story comes to us from Roger Okepling. Yes,

that Roger Kippling. It was first published in the second Jungle Book in 1895.

Kipling is an odd one. He is a titan of English literature and every good and bad connotation that comes with that

applies to him. His work is wildly imperialistic, beautifully structured,

assaged very badly and very well all at once.

Kipling is a monarch of contradiction, a man whose work is immensely difficult today, but

when you drill for it, as we we have there is worth there.
