Anywho, welcome to episode 600 which comes to us from all-time horror great Henry

Cutner was a friend of Lovecraft's and contributed several stories and deities to the Lovecraft mythos.

He was known for his literary prose and worked in close collaboration with his wife,

C. L. Moore. They met through their association with Lovecraft's fans and friends and their work together

spanned the 1940s and 50s, mostly credited to pseudonyms. If you look for work by Louis Paget and Lawrence O'Donnell, it's both of them.

This next bit is both kind of lovely and very sweet and romantic and also infuriating. They both freely

admitted that they collaborated at least in part because he got paid more per

page than she did. Same work, different rate. Yeah. Moving aside from

that particular sex is trash fire it's interesting to note that several people have

written or said that she wrote three stories which were actually published under his name.

Clash by Night and the portal in the picture Beyond Earth's gates are two which are

sometimes attributed to her brilliantly as well cutner actually contributed a

lot of scripts to the early Green Lantern comics.

Even more brilliantly, Elsbrog de Camp, who knew them both well, talked a lot about how their collaboration was so seamless, they would often not be able to find the joints

between their work once the story was completed. I really like that.

Kuntner was prolific too, as well as his work that. stories published under the pageant name. These were about a man who invented
