just yesterday and we are opening a brand new three week series today called Psalms for Prayer. I

am so excited to be in the Psalms and I'm excited about our guest today. We are joined by Sam

Albury. He's on staff at a manual church here in Nashville. I can't think of a better guest

for this episode. The tone of what he I mean he's a minister and at heart you can tell and

Amanda and I both felt really truly ministered to and grateful and I think that you'll feel the same.

Y'all this is a three week series that you aren't going to want to miss a bit of. Let's open

the Psalms together and let's learn how to pray them. Let's get right to this episode.

Across town but technically over a computer but I already feel like this is going to be a great

new friendship. I'm excited. That's right next time next time in person. Absolutely. Well as you know

we are opening the book of Psalms and not to read the whole thing but we're going to read

a selection of 15 Psalms but before we dig in Sam I was thinking this morning about Psalms

and how grateful I am that they exist and Rachel even prayed that as we got started. But tell us

just about the Psalms in general what I was thinking of this morning of how the Lord didn't

have to include them you know and there are a lot of them. And so what does it tell us about

God? What can we learn from God just that they are in in his word that they were given to us?

Yeah it's a great question because they're not typically adding to our historical understanding
