And with that, really looking forward to our study in the Psalms tonight on Thursday nights

where, pardon me, I got a frog in my throat, a furrog in my throat. So, pardon me. Thursday nights,

we're going through the Psalms chapter by chapter and Psalm by Psalm, verse by

verse. And tonight, we'll pick it up in Psalm 89 and Lord willing make it to Psalm 91. I really want to make

every effort to do so for those of you who know about Psalm 91. it is a magnificent Psalm. So why don't we pray? We'll ask God to

bless our time together in His Word, if you would join with me.

Thank you. Loving Heavenly Father, thank you so much for this Bible study tonight, and for those that are here tonight. Lord, we're here to hear you speak into our lives in and through your word, and we don't

want anything to distract us from what it is that you have for us.

Lord, would you keep tiredness and fatigue and drowsiness away so that we can give you our

undivided attention? And Lord, as we do, minister to us, as only you can and always do. We pray in Jesus' name. Amen. All right, let's

jump in. Psalm 89. It's kind of a long Psalm, very interesting Psalm as we'll see here momentarily.

We're told that it is a contemplation of Ethan, the Ezraheit. Verse one,

I will sing of the mercies of the Lord forever. With my mouth will I make known your faithfulness to all generations. For I have said, verse two,

mercy shall be built up forever. Your faithfulness you shall establish in the very heavens.

I have made a covenant with my chosen.

I have sworn to my servant David.

Notice the change in verse three.

Your seed, God speaking to David,

verse four, I will establish forever and build up your throne to all generations. Say la, pause, consider, meditate. Think about it. And verse five, the heavens will praise your wonders, O Lord, your faithfulness also in the assembly of the saints.

For who in the heavens can be compared to the Lord?

Who among the sons of the mighty can be likened to the Lord.

God is greatly to be feared in the assembly of the saints
