Lord willing tonight going to, oh, ye of little faith. Really? It's just seven Psalms. So what if we're here till midnight?

0:14.5

Okay, listen, we're going to do this, all right? We're going to do this. So last week we spent the entire Bible study

0:23.7

in the 23rd Psalm. I don't think anybody's complaining. It was really a rich time in a really

0:32.9

powerful and beautiful Psalm. So we'll pick it up in Psalm 24 and we'll make it Lord willing

0:40.5

through to Psalm 30. So why don't we begin with a word of prayer if you would join with me

0:45.2

and we'll ask God's blessing on our time and his word tonight.

1:03.8

Loving Heavenly Father, we love you so much and we love your word so much and we love this book of Psalms so much.

1:14.6

Lord, tonight as we now have this time together in your word, we're looking to you, the author and the finisher of our faith, to minister to us and to speak into our lives in and through the richness of these

2:04.7

He, verse 4, who has clean hands and a pure heart,

2:10.8

who has not lifted up his soul to an idol.

2:14.3

By the way, much of what we're going to see tonight in the Psalms that we're going to go through are going to sound like songs that we sing.

2:25.6

And the reason for that is because these are songs that we sing. I know that's deeply profound, but I'll try not to break out in song. I don't want to

2:36.4

do that to you. But these are words that are penned by David, the sweet psalmist of Israel, and the

2:47.8

Psalms are indeed that songs that were sung in praise to the Lord.

2:56.2

So verse four, who has not lifted up his soul to an idol nor sworn deceitfully,

3:05.3

he shall receive blessing from the Lord and righteousness from the God of his salvation.

3:13.8

This is Jacob, the generation of those who seek him, who seek your face, Selah.

3:20.9

Again, a pause, a time to meditate and consider. Lift up your heads, verse seven,
