On Thursday nights, we're going through the Psalms, chapter by chapter, verse by verse.

If you can believe it, we're almost through.

I'm not in a hurry to get through the book of Psalms.

Yes, I'm very excited about the book of Proverbs, which is the next book.

But, man, just been so richly blessed by this study through this amazing book.

Now we have Psalms 141 through Psalm 144 before us tonight.

We, Lord willing, will get to Psalm 144, but Psalms 141 through 143 are they're actually all

Psalms of David but the first three of the four Psalms that we're going to study

tonight really speak to those who are really struggling and so why don't we pray and

Loving Heavenly Father, it's really not possible for us to thank you enough for your word and that your word is alive. It comes to life. It's active. It activates and applies very personally, very specifically to where we're at in our lives.

And Lord, this book of Psalms has just been so rich, so powerful, so applicable.

Such a blessing. And the Psalms that we have before us tonight are no exception.

So Lord, as we now have this time together here in your word, we're just going to ask, as we always do,

to enable us by the Holy Spirit to give you our undivided attention,

enable us to focus and concentrate and not let our minds wander or be distracted by anything,

because we don't want to miss anything that you would

desire to speak into our lives in and through your word tonight.

That's why we're here, Lord.

We're here because we hunger and we thirst for that which we know that only you can satiate. So Lord, will you satisfy that hunger

and thirst we have tonight? We pray in Jesus' name. Amen. All right. Psalm 141. We're told us this Psalm of David again, all of the Psalms we're going to be looking at tonight

are written by David, also known as the sweet Psalmist of Israel.
