Hey everyone, this is Mary Demuth, and this is Pray Every Day, where I have the joy and the privilege of praying you through the Bible verse by verse.

Now, we are in the Psalms. We are making our way through the Psalms. I am loving it. I hope that you are too. I also want to pray for someone who has tonsil issues.

Now, this is coming from someone who used to have tonsils, and those tonsils gave me a whole bunch of trouble.

So, Lord Jesus, I pray for those who are battling their tonsils, or maybe they are facing a tonsillectomy,

or maybe they're recovering from a tonsillectomy.

And I just pray, Lord, for healing, for health, for better tonsils, for healed tonsils, for no more pain in the throat.

I ask this in Jesus' name, amen.

All right, today I'm reading from Psalm 45 in the World English Bible,

and this is what it says.

For the chief musician, set to the Lilies,

a contemplation by the Sons of Cora, a wedding song.

My heart overflows with a noble theme. I recite my verses for the king. My tongue is like the pen

of a skillful writer. You are the most excellent of the sons of men.

Grace has anointed your lips.

Therefore, God has blessed you forever.

Strap your sword on your thigh, O mighty one,

in your splendor and your majesty.

In your majesty, ride on victoriously on behalf of truth,

humility, and righteousness. Let your right hand

display awesome deeds. Your arrows are sharp. The nations fall under you with arrows in the heart

of the king's enemies. Your throne, God, is forever and ever. A scepter of equity is the scepter of your kingdom.

You have loved righteousness and hated wickedness. Therefore, God, your God, has anointed you
