Hello there. This is Mary DeMuth and this is Pray Every Day where I pray through the Bible verse by verse.

Today is episode 2,969. I've been doing this a long, long time and so happy to do so.

Today I feel prompted to pray for someone going through a major transition. So Lord Jesus, I pray for my friend.

Perhaps they have a new job or they have moved or their kids are out of the house and it's still a really hard transition to get used to. Or maybe

they're welcoming a new baby into the home or maybe they have started a new ministry. There's a lot of different kinds of transitions or maybe they have started a new ministry.

There's a lot of different kinds of transitions,

or maybe there's a grief transition where they've said goodbye to a loved one,

and now they're in that transition of not having them around anymore.

So Lord, we don't do very well with change.

It's hard, it's rough.

I know I'm not great at it. So Lord, you are the rock

that we can go to. And we do want to build our house upon that rock that when the storms come

and transition can be its own form of storm and change can be also another form of storm.

When the storms come and beat against us, we will be standing on a rock,

our footsteps firm. And so I pray for that. You are the steadiness in the midst of the transformations.

You are the stronghold in which we trust when everything is going astray and awry. So Lord,

just carry us and hold us. I pray in Jesus' name. Amen.
