Hey everyone, this is Mary Demuth and this is Pray Every Day where I pray you through the Bible verse by verse with joy and intention.

But anyway, so glad to have you here on the first day of May. This is May Day, and typically what I do today is I gather up flowers from my yard, and I stick them in little jars, and I run around my neighborhood and give them to my friends. reading Psalm 120 through 121 in the World English Bible. And as before, I will read one,

then pray for you, and then read the next and then pray for you. So here is Psalm 120.

This is a song of a sense, by the way. And what that means is that So here is Psalm 120.

And what that means is that they would sing this as a song on their way up to Jerusalem.

So Jerusalem's on a hill.

They have to walk up the hill to get there.

And this is called a song of ascent.

In my distress, I cried to Yahweh.

He answered me.

Deliver my soul, Yahweh, from lying lips from a deceitful tongue.

What will be given to you and what will be done more to you, you deceitful tongue?

Sharp arrows of the mighty with coals of juniper.

Woe is me that I live in M mishek that i dwell among the tents of

qadar my soul has had her dwelling too long with him who hates peace i am for peace but when i speak

they are for war mind if i pray for you lord we live in a war-torn world. We may not have that at our back

doorstep, but around the world there are wars and rumors of wars. And so I pray for those in war-torn

countries today that you would be their peace, that you would be the one who settles them.
