And now here's Andrew.

0:12.9

Welcome to our Monday's broadcast of the Gospel Truth. Today I'm beginning a brand new series,

0:19.2

and this is the first time I've ever offered this little 100-page book.

0:23.7

It's entitled Psalms 119 in 22 days.

0:28.4

And a few months ago, I was studying through Psalms 119, and it just blessed me so much.

0:34.1

I thought, I'm going to put this out, and this is kind of like a devotion.

0:37.8

It's meant to be covered in 22 days. And the reason I came up with 22 days is because

0:43.8

there's 22 letters in the Hebrew alphabet, and Psalms 119 takes each one of those Hebrew letters and it has eight verses on that begin with the letter

1:01.1

you know like I'm not sure I can pronounce all of these properly but the first one is

1:06.2

a leif or something like that and the first eight verses in Psalms 119 begin with that letter and

1:14.0

then one of the unique things about this is that every single verse in Psalms 119

1:20.6

refers to the word of God in some way or another so the whole Psalm is just talking about

1:27.2

how important the word of God is.

1:30.3

And I really believe that if you were to take this little book and just each day go through one of these,

1:38.3

you know, you'd cover eight verses times 22. I think there's 176 verses in Psalms 119. It's the longest chapter in the entire Bible.

1:50.5

And if you went through that after 22 days of studying like this, I guarantee you it would just

1:55.6

transform you. I really believe that. It would show you how important the Word of God is.

1:59.9

So I'm going to be just teaching verse by verse through Psalms 119. I'm going to try and get this covered in two weeks

2:06.1

time if I can speed up and get that done. And as you go through this, if you were to follow the

2:13.8

little instructions that are in this book with each verse, you would actually look up

2:18.3

over 400 other verses that are outside of Psalms 119, and then I have 36 other footnotes in my
