Over the next four weeks we're going to be going through Psalm 1 and today we are in Psalm 1,

verse 1 talking about friendships, how important it is to take note of who our core people are.

So friends, faith comes by hearing, grab your headphones and let's get into the word.

Psalm 1, verse 1. Friends, I am so excited because Psalm 1, I really felt led to just go through

the whole chapter with you guys because this Psalm was literally our family motto. It was the

motto in the Jenkins home all throughout my high school years and over the next four weeks,

I'll show you specifically why today we're going to be talking about friendships,

but I would love to just read through the whole Psalm, it's literally just six verses and so I

feel like a really cool challenge too for us over the next four weeks is what if together

all of us literally memorized Psalm 1, it's literally just six verses, I really think that we can do

it so we're going to start by reading this the whole chapter. Psalm 1, blessed is the man who walks

not in the council of the wicked, nor stands in the way of sinners, nor sits in the seat of

scoffers, but his delight is in the law of the Lord and on his law he meditates day and night.

He is like a tree planted by streams of water that yields its fruit in its season and its leaf

does not wither and all that he does he prospers. The wicked are not so, but are like chaff that the

wind drives away, therefore the wicked will not stand in the judgment, nor sinners in the congregation

of the righteous, for the Lord knows the way of the righteous, but the way of the wicked will perish.
