Summary

Hey Everyone! Recently the news of the Canadian Trucker Convoy has made its rounds through the Trucker Sphere. However, if you haven't heard anything about this event, we wanted to give you all an update. Effective January 15, 2022 all Canadian Truckers are required to have been fully vaccinated against Covid-19. As a result, a group of courageous truck drivers called out the Canadian government for an overreach of their power and a squashing of truckers' rights. This group has now become, by some reports, over 150,000 truck drivers, and most assuredly, many more individuals. We wanted to send out this PSA in order to let all of our listeners know not only what was happening, but also where you could support our fellow men and women. There is no pressure or requirement to support or donate, but we wanted to give you the option in case some of you didn't know how or where to go. 0:00.0	Hey everyone. Thanks for joining us here for this quick PSA at Hammer Lane Legends. It's Jack here. I just wanted to give you guys some quick information. Yesterday, January 26th, I forgot to include this in the intro for the show,
0:23.4	and we here at HLL thought it was pretty important,
0:26.5	so we wanted to just make sure we got you guys some information quick.
0:30.4	On January 29th, there's going to be a,
0:33.3	currently there's a convoy that's actually heading there in Canada,
0:36.1	but January 29th is when the actual protest really begins.
0:41.8	If you haven't heard, if you didn't know yet, there's pretty much over 100,000 truckers and people who support this protest against the vaccine mandates that the Prime minister of Canada, Justin Trudeau,
0:56.0	had placed industry-wide on the truckers.
0:59.0	Something that we definitely support is those truckers, you know,
1:03.6	ability to choose whether or not they want to get a vaccination.
1:06.8	You know, all the reports that I've seen and those that have been put out there has said that a majority of those truckers were already vaccinated.
1:15.8	And those majority, if that means a majority of the truckers that are in support of the protest are vaccinated.
1:22.5	They just believe that it's the individual's right to be able to say whether or not they want to be vaccinated.
1:28.7	And so we also think that that's the right decision. So as of now, we wanted to make sure
1:34.2	we put out this PSA saying that, you know, we'll support it. We have supported it here at
1:39.3	HLL. And we also wanted to give you guys the opportunity to support it as well.
1:45.6	You know, in the description to this episode, well, this really isn't an episode, but in the
1:49.7	description to this PSA, I'm going to put a link to give you guys information just about what's
1:56.4	going on and why they're protesting.
