We met, in fact, I think we've met before, but then we met when Prue came to my garden for her fantastic new garden show.

So will you tell me about the making of your garden?

Well, you know, I've had a lovely garden for 45 years in Cotswolds, in a big house, but you know, like most people of my age, you can't go on living in a huge house

when they're just two of you. So what we did was also we got to the stage we couldn't really

afford it because it were huge grounds and a lake and all sorts of smart

stuff. And so we wanted to downsize and we realized the sensible thing to do would be to turn our little,

we had a farm that was attached to the house, was to turn the farmhouse into our old age home

and keep some of the land and sell off the big house, which is what we did

really successfully, to really nice people who, you know, we're still looking after their

garden because, you know, they're self-confessed townies and they don't know anything about

garden. So John is still, my husband is still running their garden, and there's a lot of work to be done.

But the fact is that we wanted to make a new garden where the farmhouse was.
