Welcome to our rosary meditation. Let's begin in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit.

Amen.

Let's call to mind all those we've promised to pray for.

Wealth managers tell me that their biggest problem is to get their clients to think and make decisions based on reality rather than on emotions and fears.

This is the crisis of our age. We act on preferences and feelings rather than on truth and the will of God.

In our fallen state, what drives most of our decision-making is disordered passions and attachments, pride,

the will to dominate, timidity, vanity, envy, lust, gluttony, greed, a false sense of security

and identity, fear, and the opinion of others. These should not determine our choices and actions.

Therefore, we need the virtue of prudence,

which is the art of making good decisions.

To be prudent, we must begin with the end in mind.

When it is all said and done, what do you want?

I'll tell you what I want.

Deep and abiding friendship with God and others.

So if that is what we want, then we need to work on that every day.

Spend time with God in prayer because friendship takes time, talking, listening, and just being together.

That is prayer, and the rosary is a great way to do it because it includes all three,

plus the presence of the mother of God.

She is present.

I sense her presence. But I also want friendship with Sandy, my wife, and my kids, and my friends.

And I want that friendship to last forever.
