Our story is by Gargiana Rubin, translated by Sue Burke.

Gariana is a Spanish science fiction and fantasy writer and a biochemist with a PhD in molecular biology.

She particularly enjoys writing humanistic science fiction with a strong scientific base.

To date, she has published a bunch of short stories and anthologies and a magazine and five novellas

and two novels with different Spanish publishers.

Kariana has been a Spanish Ignatis Award finalist for three times in different categories.

Ruha Alma, Serbero in Novella in 2021, Innombrable, chrononata in novel in 2022, and

Sintier Lo Sufficiente in Crononata, in short story in 2022.

Sue Burke, our translator, is the author of the science fiction novels Samiosis, Interference,

usurpation, Immunity Index, and Dual Memory.

In addition, she's published short stories, poetry, journalism, and essays.

She's also a translator working from Spanish and to English.

She's currently in Chicago, but had the pleasure of living in Spain from 2000 to 2016.
