Summary

Dr. Leighton Flowers, Director of Evangelism and Apologetics for Texas Baptists, gives a quick overview of what Provisionism entails. Some like the label Arminian, some like Traditionalist, some try to avoid the labels all together, but the word "PROVIDE" is simply putting the attention back on the God who provides for the needs of all fallen and sinful people.

Welcome to Sociology 101. My name is Layton Flowers. I'm the director of evangelism and apologetics for Texas Baptist.

0:17.8

And the purpose of this video is to give a brief overview of the title or label called

0:24.0

provisionism. Now, I know many people don't like new labels or new isms. I don't like them either,

0:30.1

but labels are necessary in theological discourse to help people to understand what you believe and

1:16.0

1:22.7

we would consider good people within our churches and our neighborhoods. The people who are

1:27.0

considered good

1:28.4

are those, of course, have a relationship with a father, but what is recognizably good about that

1:34.7

person? Typically, one of the most known and seen characteristics for someone who's considered good

1:41.7

is that they provide for others in need.

1:46.5

And that's what we say when we say God is good.

1:48.6

He's a God who provides.

1:52.2

If someone is lost, he provides atonement.

1:54.8

He provides a means of reconciliation.

1:58.5

If someone is dead, he provides a life-giving truth.
