Hello and welcome to the She reads Truth podcast where we open our Bibles and talk about the

beauty, goodness and truth we find there. I'm your host Rachel Myers and I'm your other host,

Amanda Bible Williams and this is the first episode in our Proverbs series. Yay! We are very

excited. We're joined by our good friend Russ Ramsey. Russ is a local pastor here in Nashville.

He's author of many books. One is the Advent of the Lamb of God, which you might want to check out

before the Advent season. But this episode, if you're looking for just a really good lay of the

land for the Book of Proverbs and for this four week study that we're entering into today,

this is the episode for you. Russ is an excellent teacher and he's just one of our favorite people

to open our Bibles with and talk about God's Word. So let's get right to it.

So this isn't our first time going through the Book of Proverbs at She reads Truth.

This is actually our third time going through the Book of Proverbs. It was one of the very first

things. It was like our very first back in 2012. I think it was like August, probably. It was our

very first time kind of going through like what if we did something on our own? What if we just read a

book of the Bible on our own? It was the very first book of the Bible that we read as a community.
