episode of the Bryce Cover podcast. I'm Bryson. Today we are on Proverbs 10 of 31 chapters. This month, we're breaking down the whole

book of Proverbs, which means if you listen, watch, follow along, read, you will have read the whole

book of Proverbs and get a brief understanding of the message Solomon is preaching here.

In Proverbs 10, if we could create a thesis statement of Proverbs, it's kind of hard to do it with

Proverbs 10 because it's just a collection of wisdom from

Solomon. So we're going to read Proverbs and break it down. Verse one, the Proverbs of Solomon. A wise

son makes a glad father, but a foolish son is a sorrow to his mother. Our wisdom and folly affect

more than just ourselves. Wisdom benefits more than just the individual, right? But fo ourselves wisdom benefits more than just the individual right

but folly grieves more than just the individual so we have to be careful you see oftentimes we make

folly decisions out of a place of selfishness of me this benefits me this benefits me but it

actually hurts more people than ourselves it grieves more people than the individual but But when we follow the wisdom of God, it benefits more than just me, right?

When I love my neighbor, ask myself, I don't just get to experience more of the heart of

the father towards me, but the person on the receiving end gets the experience the heart of the

father. Does that make sense? First two, treasures gained by wickedness do not profit, but righteousness delivers from death.

This is similar to the parable of the rich fool Jesus spoke of in Luke.
