We're going through the book of Proverbs on Thursday night. We are making our trek through the entire Bible.

We started in Genesis and finished all the way through to the book of Proverbs. And so Lord willing,

we'll complete two chapters tonight, chapter six and seven. We got to chapter five last week so why don't we

begin with a word of prayer if you would join with me before we get started we'll ask god to

bless our time together thank you lord thank you Thank you, Lord.

Father, would you at this time just enable us by the Holy Spirit to give you our undivided attention, especially for those of us that

have had a busy week, a busy day, and we come to this Bible study on Thursday nights,

and it represents for us just a sanctuary, a place where we can just set aside

all the busyness of our lives and focus on you and on your word and the time that we have together

in your words. So Lord, would you bless our Bible study tonight, speak into our lives.

Lord, we desire the wisdom from above, the wisdom that is in the pages of this amazing book of

Proverbs.

And so, Lord, we just need the Holy Spirit to minister to us in

Jesus name amen and amen all right let's jump in verse 1 Proverbs 6 again keep in

mind as we go through particularly these two chapters tonight that they are written by Solomon

inspired by the Holy Spirit as a father to his son and really to his children son or daughter

some of the proverbs are more specific to the son than the

daughter, but the principal still applies. And we're going to see tonight something that is going to come up

again and again throughout this study through the book of

Proverbs. So it begins, as many of the chapters do, with Solomon writing, My Son.
