What's idolatry?

Well, many claim it's the worship of an object representing some deity, but is that the only

definition we can use? Well, hop aboard the Bible bus and see what our teacher

Dr. J. Vernon McGee has to say today on through the Bible. I'm Steve Schwartz welcoming you to another

great study in God's word. We'll begin in Proverbs 22 verse 28 in just a

minute but first through the Bible's president Greg Harris is here to escort us out of 2023 with gratitude and praise.

Oh that's a great word picture and yes we are going to just take a look back.

This is our last weekday program of the year and on Monday though we will be back and

we'll be looking forward talking about exciting things that we believe God has for us in 2024.

Yes.

So let's just do a quick flyover of some highlights of this past year.

Well, I think about the program itself.

I mean, together we've traveled on the Bible bus through some life-changing books. I think about

Romans, 1st and 2nd Chronicles, 1st and 2nd Corinthians, minor prophets and majors,

Ezra, Nehemiah Esther, Job, Galatians, Psalms, Ephes, and now Proverbs.

I mean, that's a lot in 12 months.

What a year, and perhaps if you just stumbled upon this program or a podcast on the radio or

digitally, that will wet your appetite. We did all of that. The

Lord blessed us doing it in a year. We've also added new languages. We've changed out systems of delivery of those languages.

You and I traveled to different parts of the world,

together and independently.
