Previously on Thomas in the Bible, Proverbs imparts us with such wisdom as,

If you don't plough your fields, you won't get crops.

Those who tell the truth, tell the truth, and those who tell lies, tell lies. And fools

should be wise people. Some other pearls are, he who spares his rod hates his son, and people

don't like people who punish them. However, I don't think these proverbs were supposed to be read

together unless this is meant for us to hate our parent. And that's pretty much all that happened,

with Thomas Yon count of four.

All right, it's time for more proverbs.

It every time I think the Bible can't get any worse, it does almost.

This is, is this worse than Psalms?

I don't know.

I mean, in some ways, it is.

I mean, this is like the least interactive reading. It's just someone shouting directions at you.

Like, I can't even, I don't even know how to handle it. I really don't. It's like, I can't just sit here and listen to someone shouting this like annoying wisdom that's not really interesting or clever at me.

There's nothing to engage.

So it's pretty bad. Psalms was, it's all bad. It's all bad. Someday we'll get to the New Testament, you and I someday. So we're going 18, Proverbs 18 through 23 today. Oh, joy. All right. Through desire a man, having separated himself,

seeketh an intermedaleth with all wisdom. A fool hath no delight in understanding, but that his heart may discover

itself. When the wicked cometh, then cometh also contempt and with ignominy reproach. The words of a man's

mouth are as deep waters, and the wellspring of wisdom as a flowing brook. It is not good to accept

the person of the wicked to overthrow the righteous in judgment.

A fool's lips enter into contention and his mouth calleth for strokes. A fool's mouth is his
