Let's get into the book of Proverbs. Tonight, Lord willing, we'll make it through chapters 11 and 12.

I'll ask you to bear with me. I'm fighting this cold and it's kind of, I should say it's fighting me and kind of winning a little bit.

So appreciate your patience. I'm sorry about the

congestion in the cough. I'll do my best to not let it be a distraction. So when we got to

Proverbs chapter 10, we sort of turned a corner in our study through this book and

commenced with what are what I call anyway the contrasting

Proverbs.

There are these pithy nuggets of wisdom.

The first nine chapters of Proverbs was the personification of wisdom.

And now we kind of get into the contrasting Proverbs was the personification of wisdom and now we kind of get into the contrasting

Proverbs where wisdom is contrasted with folly, wickedness is contrasted with righteousness

and there is a stark contrast that is painted on the canvas of this amazing book of wisdom.

So what we're going to need to do tonight is sort of roll up our arm sleeves, so to speak,

and work our way through these.

There's so much here, and truth being known, you could actually preach

an entire sermon on just one of these proverbs. I'm not going to do that. I could, but I'm not going to do

that. We're going to work our way through this and really looking forward to what the Lord has for us.

So why don't we begin with a word of prayer if you would join with me.

Loving Heavenly Father, thank you for your word and for this Bible study that we have

on Thursday nights.

For many of us, it's just a place we can come and a sanctuary really and set aside all the busyness of our lives
