I'm Roger Marsh, and today on the broadcast, Gary Bauer, with me once again, as we continue our conversation,

as we are commemorating the 53rd year that we had to note the passing of Roe versus Wade that took place yesterday, January 22nd,

1973.

But today when we see where the battle lines are drawn, where we have moved from the anti-abortion

conversation to pro-life to pro-abortion or pro-life versus pro-choice, if you will.

Gary has some very insightful things to share on this.

It's always a pleasure to kind of mix it up with you in these conversations. Same here, Roger. Great to be with you too and this important subject. You know, it's interesting. At the end of our last discussion, you mentioned something that it just kind of lingered a little bit, but I thought, what a great teaser for the next program. And that is the fact that yesterday was January 22nd.

This used to be a day we'd have the March for Life.

We would go out and pray to end abortion and have Roe versus Wade overturned. And then on June 24th, 2022, Roe versus White was in fact overturned. But then the battle lines really began to become more clearly pronounced. As we saw, I remember that day very clearly, I was having some work done on my car.

And as I pulled out of the driveway, I was living in California at the time,

so I pulled out of the driveway of the car repair place, there was a big sign that had California,

it was written in kind of like the Hollywood sign letters, and it said, California will always be a safe haven for abortion. And they had that put up. They knew this decision was going to come down. It was there prominently. And, of course, people were, you know, cheering and applauding in this area in the People's Republic of California and where I lived at the time. And I thought, this is just so sad to think that, you know, now that we have

Roe versus Wade, finally the Supreme Court horrible ruling that made abortion a federal issue,

now it's back to the states. Here's one state of many that's actually going to double down.

And you've seen a lot of these states where, you know, where's the pro-life laws, you know,

the people were saying, oh,

we'll never be able to get an abortion again.

Actually, the number of abortions has had gone up a little bit because more states are codifying
