| 0:35.7 | Today we're going to be discussing all the free speech developments in the aftermath of the Charlie Kirk assassination. There's been obviously a lot going on in our country, a lot of turmoil, a lot of discussions about free speech, violence, and where should we draw the line on what is acceptable and what is not acceptable. |
| 0:55.1 | And this has resulted in some actions by our government that I think have rightly drawn criticism |
| 1:00.8 | because of people's concern about what this means for free speech. |
| 1:04.4 | So I think first, let me just start by opening up by saying, how do people see this post-Charlie |

| 1:12.5 | see in the country? How worried are we about free speech, violence? And let's just start there. |
| 1:19.4 | Yeah, I think it's important to acknowledge that this was a really incredible, terrible thing to |
| 1:24.9 | happen. It is a, it is true and good that we don't usually |
| 1:29.9 | seen, see people slaughtered for fairly explicit political reasons. It is always helpful to |
| 1:38.7 | keep in mind that ideologically motivated violence is a very minor category of violence in America, not because |
| 1:45.1 | we don't have very much violence. We just don't have very much violence of this type. So it sticks |
| 1:49.6 | with you when this very high profile political thought leader for the conservative movement, |
| 1:55.6 | the MAGA movement, is killed and frankly is killed on camera in a graphic way that all of us can see if we're so inclined to. |
