All right, good morning and welcome to our second service on Sunday mornings. We have two,

the first of which is the Bible prophecy update that we do weekly, and now second service,

which is the sermon, a verse by verse study through God's word. A couple three weeks ago, we started

in the book of James, having completed the book of Hebrews, and today's text is going to be chapter

1 verses 9 through 11. So I'll

ask those of you that are here if you're able to stand. You can follow along as I read. If not,

where you're seated is fine. James continues to write by the spirit and says verse 9,

believers in humble circumstances ought to take pride in their high position, but the rich should take pride in their humiliation, since they will pass away like a wild flower. For the sun rises

with scorching heat and withers the plan. Its blossom falls and its beauty is destroyed.

In the same way, the rich will fade away even while they go about their business.

prone to do that and when that happens we miss what it is that you have for us and I don't
