Genesis 22, let me begin reading in the first verse.

The scripture talks about in this chapter of the testing of Abraham and about how that God told him to take his son, Isaac, and offer him up as a sacrifice.

And this is all about covenant, and this is all about God's covenant partner, Abraham, being willing to offer his son to him, which gave God a legal right to give his only begotten son at that time and greatly beloved son to us

tremendous things here god had a right to do it because his covenant man had already done it for him

legally and if you read down through there verse as soon as God told Abraham that verse 3

Abraham rose up early in the morning and saddled his donkey and he took two of his

young men's servants with him and Isaac his son and they took the wood that they had

chopped for burnt offering rose up and went to the place that God had chopped for burnt offering, rose up, and went to the

place that God had told them. You know, one thing about Abraham, when God told him, you know,

talked to him about tithing or about circumcising his house or about different things or about

this, I mean Abraham did it. He didn't play with it.

He didn't kick it around for a week or two.

He didn't ask 40 people if they thought it'd be okay.

I mean, even something as serious as this, the next morning, he loads stuff up and goes.

You can see why God chose Abraham, can't you?

Because he's a man. and he said that about him.

He said, I know Abraham.

He will teach.

He will lead his house.

He will teach his children.

He will do what I told him to do.

He goes on to say on the third day, Abraham lifted up his eyes.
