Last night, Shohei O'Connie was on the mound for the Angels.

Not long after, word began to drip out that his name is being bandied about in the trade

market, and he faced the Texas Rangers.

He struck out 11 over six innings, but along the way, this happened.

Yeah, so the Angels lose four to nothing, O'Connie, despite pitching well, two runs allowed

in six innings with those 11 strikeouts.

He got the lost, and he was asked after the game about his future with the Angels, given

that all those trade rumors were out there, and his answer was very lawyerly.

I'm going to read this the way I felt like it was said, regardless of where I'm playing,

I'm going to give it my all and try to win the ball game that's right in front of me,

win the Angels right now, and I'm very thankful for what they've done.
