As Alex Talk was robbed, the Washington Capitals by the 2018 Stanley Cup champions.

It's another edition of the Buy Week version of the Capitals Talk podcast,

as we kind of catch up with mid-season report cards like we did with Tom Gallitty from NHL.com. And today we look forward with the voice of the

Hershey Bear, Zach Fish, who's kind enough to join us during his break as well, just back from calling

the AHL All-Star Games. So is it the same thing for you, Zach, as it is for the players?

Had you find out and did it feel like, wow, I've accomplished something here by being

named to call the All-Star game?

It was a cool experience in Springfield, Massachusetts, and Vitech-Vanichack.

Capp's second rounder in 2014, goaltender was there representing the Bears.

And actually a little different.

The league and the home broadcaster on the radio feed worked together to pick the crew,

and usually they choose two other guys.

Springfield's broadcaster was automatically in. They're the host city, so they always allow them to do it. And they have to kind of then work together and pick two they feel are worthy and deserving the opportunity. So I was lucky enough to be one of the other two selected to get a chance to participate on the radio crew and get the call for that game. So a nice honor. And it was great to work with those two guys as well, and it was my first real full All-Star experience. I've been to some of the events over the last couple of years since joining the Bears in 2016 and a really well-done event. And, yeah, it's a cool feeling. And I think it was even more cool, though, to see V-Tech have the success that he did.
