Summary

Recess? What recess? Before MPs have set foot back in Westminster, the Prime Minister is being accused of being undemocratic by suspending Parliament ahead of a Queen's Speech in October. A "constitutional outrage" says the Speaker John Bercow. Not so says Boris Johnson who says he wants to move ahead with a new programme for government and NOT thwart debates on Brexit as the 31st October deadline looms with no deal in place. All this as election fever gathers momentum following a summer of punter-friendly policy announcements. Plenty to discuss ahead of the new term as Adam Boulton is joined by The Guardian columnist Zoe Williams and The Mail on Sunday's Peter Hitchens.
