to facilitate understanding about very important topics,

he would use different imagery,

he would use different analogies in order to help us understand

very important foundational topics and issues

through very practical examples.

And one of those examples is in this beautiful hadith of the Prophet

Sallu al-a'u al-a'u-a-a-a-hu-sala, where he states,

Annasu k'a'asn al-Mhid, that people are like the teeth of a comb.

Now, that teaches us many, many things.

There are a couple of things that I wanted to highlight.

Number one, the Prophet, sallu al-a-u-slam is saying,

every single person is valuable.

Every single person has worth, has significance.

And no one person should see themselves as being more important than someone else, or looking

down on someone, or saying that someone else isn't important.

Because the Prophet Salad Islam is saying, all the people are like the teeth of a comb. Just like you look at the comb and all the teeth are lined up there of the comb. The Prophet Saladisham is saying, that's people. So I'm just one of those teeth of the comb and my brother and my sister and all the rest of the members of the community, they are all like teeth within that comb.

I'm not better than them. I'm not more important than them. And similarly, I also do have some

significance. This can also help sometimes help people who might be suffering or struggling

through an issue of self-esteem or self-worth, we all belong.

We're all a part of the puzzle.
