And this particular episode, Todd and I both have been excited about this because Todd's brought a very special guest.

And we're going to be discussing this book of his plus some other stuff that resonates with all this.

I think, William, that the first thing to do is for those who still may not know much about the infamous Alistair Crowley, how much you give us some basics from your perspective and your

research on Alistair Crowley? Well, I mean, I kind of went through and looked at a lot of his

documents in private collections, special collections, but he was born in 875, died in 1947. He was from a very wealthy family.

He was the only child and kind of grew up in luxury private schools.

They would call them public schools in the UK.

But he was part of the Plymouth Brethren, which was a subset.

It was really an exclusive brethren, a subset of the Plymouth Brethren.

People know Darby. So he kind of grew up in a kind of sterile religious environment, which he eventually rebelled against

and ended up at Cambridge and really kind of took off and was interested in mountain climbing, poetry, and the occult.

It really started off, kind of moved away from Christianity

and really kind of became a scholar of esotericism,

global esotericism, really.

So he was really had a first rate mind and traveled the world.

He was able to kind of travel and write at the same time.

It's kind of an interesting guy to kind of trace because he's never in one place for very long he's constantly
