So this morning I got up as I do every Sunday morning when that alarm clock goes off and I say,

oh Lord, I'm not ready to wake up yet. I just want to sleep in just a little bit longer and

like you, I hit that snooze button and I just want to sleep in just a little bit longer and like you I hit that snooze button

and I just think to myself man it would just be great if I could sleep in today and then

the Lord reminds me that I cannot sleep in because I'm the pastor and I have to go to church

so spent some time in prayer and made the decision to talk about what has happened this last week,

the breaking news on Thursday concerning this US strike in Baghdad, Iraq. I had fully intended to teach, we're teaching through

and studying First Thessalonians, chapter four by the way, and I had fully intended to teach

verses 9 through 12 today, but I didn't want to rush through the prophecy

update given what has happened and I especially did not want to rush through

our communion service today because the first Sunday of the month,

and this is our first communion service of the year.

And the Lord's kind of given me a word, I think, fitly spoken for our communion service.

I do want to say for our online church that sadly we cannot include the worship music at the end of the

prophecy update before the communion service and we cannot include the communion

service on the same video that we upload with the prophecy update because there are

greedy sinners that need Jesus that claim copyrights and try to monetize and

advertise on our videos and even when we've tried to do a public domain song,

they still try to file a copyright claim. We dispute it, but it takes 30 days.

And so I'm just not okay with that. So we're just going to take and we'll end the video at the end of the

prophecy update and then we are going to partake together as a church of the

communion table for those of you that are able to stay we've certainly encouraged
