So before we get to our prophecy update, I want to take a moment on this Memorial Day weekend

to commemorate and honor those who have made the ultimate sacrifice.

We do this every year at this time, and for those here and as well for those that are part of our online church,

we honor the memory and honor the families of those who have fought for and died for our country.

And if you'll kindly permit me to, I want to share some poignant and powerful quotes that I've

accumulated over the years, and I hope they'll be helpful in us remembering what this holiday

is really about.

I'll start with this first one. It's from a man by the name of Thomas Campbell who said, the Patriot's blood is the seed of freedom's tree. Robin Hayes said, Memorial Day this year is especially important as we are reminded almost daily of the great sacrifices that the men and women of the armed services make to defend our way of life.

George S. Patton famously said,

it is foolish and wrong to mourn those who died.

Rather, we should thank God that such lived.

I like that. This is why, and it's for this reason, that I also want to take the opportunity to honor all who have served or who are currently serving in our armed forces. And if you don't mind, I'd like to

have you stand. We want to pray for you. We want to honor you. We want to thank you. And we want

to pray for you as well. And for those of you online, we just want you to know that we honor you

as well. So would you please stand so we can honor you and pray for you?

We owe all of you a profound debt of gratitude, and we cannot thank you enough for your service to this country.

You know, I was thinking about this on the way here today, talking about how we're to be imitators of the example, be imitators of Christ, you know, the Apostle Paul, like we were just talking about

in Ephesians, said, you know, imitate me as I imitate Christ, follow me as I follow Christ, right?

So I've always made it a practice to whenever I see somebody in uniform, I always go up to them,

and I thank them for their service to this

country.
