Pete Quinonez, who also wears a couple of other hats, including the managing editor of the Libertarian Institute, and who knows what else he's got up his sleeve right now.

It is such a pleasure to have you on Pete, how are you doing? It is so great to talk to you guys. It's been a while. So all right, what's going on? Tell us your latest. Are you working on anything? What are you up to? I know you've got your coals and many fires. So is there anything that you're working on right now that you're really excited about? Well, I mean, the next documentary on the police

and the history of the police is what's being put together right now.

It's coming together a lot slower than the first one though.

COVID really slowed things down. There are people who just didn't want to meet, didn't want to be interviewed face to face.

And so the interviews are going slow for that but as soon as we get the

interviews done pretty much then the editing process starts and you know we're

looking we're looking forward to that one because people people invested a lot of money into this one so we just need to make it the best it can be but it's going to be a lot different than the than the monopoly on violence because this isn't going to be targeted towards libertarians.

This is going to be targeted towards the mainstream.

Oh, interesting.

And is it fully funded at this point, basically? Oh, yeah, we're fine. I mean, if people want to still send those money, we'll be able to, I mean, we can use it for, you know, promotion and everything like that. But, yeah it's looking good it's looking good.

So the monopoly on violence I really got a lot out of that and I actually kind of

became familiar with all the different people you interviewed and many of them you would think that I you know I do a lot of reading I'm always on the Mises Institute and stuff but these were people who were new to me, books that were new to me, like I found that it was very well sampled for different points of view, like against the grain was just one of my all time favorite books and there's absolutely no way that guy and I would have the same opinions like James Scott he's he isn't a hardcore libertarian. He's maybe even he might be an anarchist but I don't think he's like a hardcore libertarian. He's maybe even he might be an

anarchist but I don't think he's like a hardcore libertarian so I wouldn't just

stumble upon him at Mises Institute but it really you know expands the

mind. I met Marsh Terrey through there. I liked kind of getting too familiar with Larkin-Rosa stuff. I've actually pro to some of the stuff on the podcast. And then who was that professor who really blew my mind? I think you told me the name of the book and I just lost track of it. He was such a profound thinker and I skinny guy black hair maybe even curly black hair
